The snow is finally gone from most of the high country - Lilly Lake, pictured here, is just starting to bloom - lots of wildflowers everywhere!

April 1st, and conditions still allow all the front side to be open!  Virtually everything is still open on the mountain, with more spring snow to come.

Another beautiful morning in Crested Butte, the birds are chirping, the temperature is rising, and we’ve been blessed with another 10 inches of snow for yet another powder day!

8 more inches of snow overnight and more on the way.  Conditions are soft everywhere on the mountain.  If your planning on coming to CB this weekend, better remember the snorkel!

A huge batch of unsettled weather looms west of Colorado this morning, promising more powder in the days to come.  Picture here is of Ruby Chief from the top of Horseshoe.  Conditions are excellent everywhere on the mountain.

Another blue bird day - perfect day for opening the Peak!  Now the Peak, Teocalli Bowl, Third Bowl, Spellbound and Phoenix Bowls are all open!!  Some of this terrain hasn’t been open in over a decade - proof enough that the snow in Crested Butte is as good as ever.

Crested Butte has seen the best of both worlds as far as weather is concerned.  The sun has been out all week after last weeks storm, giving us spring like skiing and temperatures in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s.  Come out and get some sun at Crested Butte Mountain!

What a week!  Crested Butte has seen over 8 feet of snow since last friday!  Tunnels like this one can be seen at almost every house in town.
