Charlie Parker
Charlie Parker was born in Kansas City,Kansas August 29,1920.
Charlie’s dad’s name was Charles and his mom’s name was Addie.Charlie was an only child.
Charlie went to school just like you and me.
He had a lot of different relationships,Rebecca Ruffin in 1936, Geraldine Scott in 1943,Doris Snyder 1948,and Chan Richardson in 1950,Believe it or not he only had 5 children!
In June 1946 he had a nervous breakdown.He was released from the hospital January 1947.
Charlie first became involved in music when he was 15, he was in the school band and loved the alto sax.Charlie composed from 1935-1955.he composed jazz
Charlie composed most of his music in night clubs and ratio studios.
Some of his most famous songs were “Hootie blues” ,“ Sepian Bounce” and “Confessing The Blues.”
In 1955, Charlie Parker died from the drugs cocaine, dope, and marijuana. He was also a very very heavy alcoholic.
His last public appearance was on March 5, 1955 at Birdland, a night club in N.Y.
