A mega storm is rolling through Crested Butte. It started snowing here last Friday, and hasn't stopped yet, with more forecast through the rest of the week. Snow totals so far at the resort are around 60 total inches, whereas the backcountry is seeing a bit more, with around 100 inches so far from this storm. Excellent conditions are the reward after your arrival - making difficult travel conditions worth it.

8:50A		 Silver Queen and Paradise lifts were both open this weekend - this picture is from the bottom of Paradise, where the lift lines were non-existent and the runs were wide open.

9:50A		 It is opening day for Crested Butte Mountain Resort! There were people waiting at the bus stops around town early this morning - another wave of this storm settled in last night, and is supposed to bring snow, wind and cold today and tonight, before the sun comes out again tomorrow.

Crested Butte has seen an impressive November storm system roll through this week. The sun is out today, showing a skier triggered slide on Red Lady this morning. This storm is supposed to ramp up again tonight, bringing another shot of snow and wind to our area tomorrow, for opening day at CBMR.

8:25A		 The lifts start up next week! The base area is starting to look like winter, with massive piles of man made snow on warming house hill, in addition to the steady snow we've had over the past few days.

8:30A		 Another couple of inches of snow overnight, helping to pad the base up at the resort - when not snowing we've had good snow making conditions, so when they fire up the lifts on Thanksgiving weekend, there should be some good turns to be had.
