It's a Powder Morning here in Crested Butte with eight new inches of snowfall overnight!

It's officially the first Powder Day of the season folks with 8 new inches of snowfall on the Mountain this morning! That's right eight new inches of that wonderful powder we've all been waiting to ski and ride! So come up and get yourself some "freshies" on this beautiful Saturday morning! All this new snow has brought our season snowfall total up to 34 inches, giving us a natural snow depth of 26 inches! As I review the weather for the rest of the weekend into next week, I'm happy to report that snow is in the forecast through next Wednesday! "Can you say lotsa lotsa Powder?" We could be in for a string of powder mornings, so get prepared for some of the best skiing of the season!...Our snow making, grooming, and patrol teams will be working hard to open more terrain, and we will let you know as soon as it happens! We currently have 5 lifts running with 225 acres open for you to come up and shred! We've even got some of our advanced terrain open and the groomers informed me this morning that the Mountain is looking beautiful and that Lower Paradise is getting dumped on! If you enjoy the corduroy, take a run down Lower Ruby because it is our groomer's choice for today! There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't come to Crested Butte this Holiday Season!
