Happy New Year Everybody! This is your Crested Butte Mountain Resort snow report for January 1st 2009! I can't think of a better way to start the new year than by heading up to the Mountain today and enjoying yourself on the slopes! Come work off all your holiday indulgences on 718 acres of terrain, 481 of which have been groomed into "Colorado's Best Corduroy". Fourteen lifts are currently up and running, giving you access to 84 fun filled trails, all spread out across a natural snow depth of 53 inches! If it's groomers you are thinking about hitting today, take a few turns down Upper Keystone because it is our groomer's choice! The first day of 2009 is looking great with temperatures in the mid twenties. Skies are clear this morning but clouds could increase and we could see some light snowfall over the next few days! Winds are very calm today and the conditions on the Mountain will be packed powder! If you still haven't come up with a worthy New Year's resolution, then why not resolve to improve your skills on the hill this year by booking a lesson with one of Crested Butte Ski and Ride School's award-winning instructors? In addition to providing lessons for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, Crested Butte Ski and Ride School offers great workshops and local programs all designed to improve your skills on the hill!
