What a great end to a fantastic spring skiing week here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! We on schedule to receive a storm that will roll in around noon and is expected to dump possibly 7 inches of fresh on us by tomorrow morning! Powder Day!! That will certainly add some cushion to the 16 inches we saw over the last 7 days and beef up our base currently at 48 inches. This is Powder Hound fetching up a great pre-weekend report today, Friday, March 8, 2013. Grab the gear and head out to catch any one of the 13 lifts spinning to set you down on 958 killer acres, 280 of which have been smoothed out by our professional grooming team. Enjoy ripping down 93 trails currently open of which 49 are groomed in the finest corduroy in Colorado. 95% of our mountain is now accessible with 100% being beginner, intermediate, and advance as well as 76% of our extreme territory to offer up. Our high will cap at around 37*F today and look for the clouds to move in as this next system approaches. Point your tips toward Smith Hill, as our Groomers have said it is the choice run today!

Kick back and toast the day at a favorite après ski hang out, the Butte 66. Enjoy live music played by Bruce Hayes form 3:30-6pm today!

With new snow and great music in store for the weekend, you are sure to see me on the hill all weekend long!!
