Snow is in the air at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! The clouds have moved in and new snow, up to 5 inches, is possible by Sunday afternoon. This is Powder Hound with nose to the wind to bring you a fantastic snow report on this Saturday, March 16, 2013. We are looking to bump our season total over 140 inches with this system and add even more cushion to our45 inch base. 14 lifts are now up and running to set you down on 958 acres of killer terrain, 300 of which have been smoothed out by our grooming team. 93 trails are now open for your riding enjoyment with 67 of those groomed in the best corduroy in Colorado! 95% of our mountain is accessible, with 100% of the beginner, intermediate, and advance terrain open and 76% of the extremes available. The groomers have put the word out that Splains Gulch is their choice run today, so take a few laps and check out the fuss!

Pirate parade your way down to après ski at the Butte 66 where the Beatles Tribute Band, Dr. Robert, will belt out some old favorites to boogie to from 3:30-6pm.

Not in to the Pirate scene? Then, grab the kiddos and head over to the Mountaineer Square Grand Ballroom for the annual Kids Rock Winter Concert featuring multi-instrumentalist, world class family entertainer, Dr. Noize. Show starts at 4pm and runs to 5:30pm.

With so much going on this weekend you are sure to see me up on the hill all weekend long!
