Good morning Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Today is Wednesday, January 7th and with 4 inches of new snow that has fallen in the past 24 hours, it's looking like a terrific hump day! 100% of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain is now open; as well as 60% of the infamous extreme terrain, including the newly opened Teocalli Bowl. 91 trails are open, spread across a whopping 1,057 acres, 481 of which are groomed. From Colorado's best corduroy to the best bumps and steeps in the country, Crested Butte Mountain Resort has it all! You can prepare for more snow to fall today and throughout the rest of the week, adding on to the already amazing snowfall total of 148 inches. Temperatures couldn't be better as they will rise to the upper 20's today and stay that way through Saturday. It really is shaping up to be another phenomenal week of weather and snow! As you're taking your choice on one of the 14 out of 16 chair lifts open, keep in mind two lifts will be closed today. The Teocalli Lift will be closed upon further notice; and the Twister Lift will be closed Monday-Friday and will reopen on the weekends. Please be aware of these closings as you make your way around the mountain. As if skiing and riding the unbelievable mountain isn't good enough during the day, try experiencing Crested Butte Mountain Resort at night. On January 10th, ride in a snowcat to the top of the Red Lady Express Lift and snowshoe the moonlit mountain trails back to the base.
