Announcements
T'was the night before Christmas and all through the mountain, all the skiers and riders were laughin’ and shoutin’, and all because of the wonderful conditions here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. On this Tuesday, the 24th day in December of 2013, over 660 skiable acres are open for your skiing and riding pleasure. The 12 lifts spinning today, will lead you to 86 trails, 57 of which have pristinely groomed, and all lying on a fluffy 41 inch base, thanks to the 9 inches of snow that has fallen in the last week. A whopping 100% of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain is open, as well as 18% of the extremes, giving you options for everyone. One recommendation the groomer’s have is Smith Hill, as it is their groomer’s choice of the day.

Although there is a chance of snow for today, partly cloudy skies are expected for the evening hours, with highs in the mid 20’s, making it a superb evening to bundle up and get in the holiday spirit with the festivities happening here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. To start the evening off, Santa will come down the mountain on a sleigh pulled by a snowcat, handing out candy canes to all the good boys and girls. The night will end with the Crested Butte Ski and Ride School as they perform their famous Torchlight Parade down the front side of the mountain. There’s no better time OR place to get in the holiday spirit.

Speaking of the holidays, it’s not too late to finish your last minute shopping, because here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, you have so many options to outfit your entire family. Logo’d, is a great place to get your last minute gift, as they provide a collection of official Crested Butte logo’d merchandise including flex-fit hats, hoodies, t-shirts, and glassware. So stop in any of the two locations around the mountain: The Grand Lodge & Treasury Center and make everyone happy on your list with gear that will remind them of the best ski vacation ever!
