Good morning and welcome to a terrific Tuesday on the slopes here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. On this 21st day in January of 2014, it’s going to be a pretty spectacular day as we are going to be WALL to WALL open at 9:00 am for the first time since the 2010-2011 ski season, as the ropes have been dropped from Banana, Funnel and Sunset Ridge, making the total skiable acreage a whopping 1163 acres! In lieu of this fantastic news, Ski Patrol will be hosting their annual Wall to Wall Party on February 7th at Butte 66 with live music, raffle tickets and super good times! The good news doesn’t end there, as the weather is pretty spectacular as well. Colorado’s infamous sun is expected to shine brightly with temperatures reaching the mid 30’s, making it a wonderful day to take a ride on any of the 13 lifts that are open, which will lead you to 103 diverse and exciting runs. Sixty-one of those trails have been covered with Colorado’s best corduroy, thanks to the hard working groomer’s, who recommend Twister as their groomer’s choice of the day. While the skiing and riding is absolutely fabulous right now, you should go ahead and check out some of the deals happening at this moment, that are sure to blow your mind. Take the “Big Game Monday” lift ticket deal, for example, where on Monday, February 3rd, 2014, the price of lift tickets will be determined based on the final combined score of Sunday’s game (or max $59 if it’s a high scoring game). So no matter how the Super Bowl pans out, it will be a win-win situation for you! There’s even more to smile about here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort…try out a free guided mountain tour today, where you will learn to navigate the mountain like a pro by learning your way around the greens and blues.
