Good morning skiers and riders! This is Crested Butte's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Friday, December 11, 2009. We have had a total of 19 inches of new snow in the past seven days, providing us with a powder/packed powder base of 31 inches midway up the mountain. Today you can enjoy 306 acres of our terrain, 221 of which is groomed by our expert grooming team. We currently have 4 of our 16 lifts shuttling skiers and riders up to 29 groomed trails and a total of 46 trails. Today we will have classic, Colorado skies and a high of 22 degrees. There is a 20% chance of snow today, with chances increasing every day over the next four days. Snow showers are expected for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, so get ready for more powder!
