Good morning Crested Butte and welcome to another day of opportunity for all winter enthusiasts on Sunday, February 23rd, 2014. With warm temperatures and a wall to wall open Crested Butte Mountain Resort there are 1167 acres open to all skill levels as 100% of beginner, intermediate, advanced, and extreme terrain is accessible by 14 lifts today. All 121 open trails are covered in over 18 feet of snow from this season making for some fantastic conditions all over the mountain including the 8 inches of fresh powder received in the last seven days!
Today is the last day of the Prater Cup. Do not miss Crested Butte’s marquee annual race that has 250 of Colorado’s top 12 and 13 year old racers in Crested Butte. The Dan Prater Memorial Cup is in its 34th year and is sure to be a blast for competitors and fans alike. Look for some high speed skiing and tons of fun as these athlete’s look to qualify for the U14 Junior Championships.
