Today is Thursday, January 7th, 2010 and Crested Butte Mountain Resort has received 2 inches of fresh snow in the past 24 hours, making the season snowfall so far this year a whopping 106 inches. This creates for a wonderful 37 inch base and makes for the 554 skiable acres open better than ever! Temperatures will reach the upper teens today with the chance of snow continuing throughout the day. The skies with clear tomorrow and the temperatures will remain in the those upper teens. It's shaping up to be another stellar week on the hill! 85% of the mountain is open today, including 100% of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain. 14 lifts are open and spinning leading you to 84 trails, 70 of which have been groomed. In addition to the fabulous assortment of trails open, there are three jib parks open, including the jib park on Warming House Hill, the Painter Boy Park, and the Canaan Terrain Park, as well as the always exciting DC Superpipe. There is plenty of shredding to be happening on this first Thursday of 2010!
