Announcements
Good morning locals and visitors. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Saturday, January 16, 2010. With over 100 inches of snow so far in the 2009-2010 season, we are riding on a packed powder base of 34 inches. The Teocalli and Twister Lifts will reopen today, giving you a total of 14 lifts to get you up to your favorite trails. If you're here in Crested Butte, you'll be skiing or riding across 554 acres of open terrain, including 350 acres of groomed terrain. That translates to your pick of 84 trails, 54 of which are groomed to perfection to give you Colorado's Best Corduroy. International is the pick of the day from our groomers.

You're going to love the Colorado bluebird skies today, so be sure to wear some SPF. Temperatures for the next three days should rise to the low 30s, so skiing and riding will feel, "oh so good." Don't forget to take in the entire 360 degrees today- and take advantage of photo opps at the top of each lift ride. As we move into the work week, we should see some snow fall in Crested Butte- keep your fingers crossed!

Looking for cheap airfare to Crested Butte Mountain Resort? We've got great news. For a limtited time only, you'll get airfare from all over the country into the Gunnison Crested Butte Airport for as low as $129 per person. Check out the Lodging Link on skicb.com for more information on getting to Crested Butte this season for cheap, cheap, cheap.

While you're here, spend some time at the base area enjoying the Adventure Park with the kids- chock full of activities like ice skating, wall climbing and bungee jumping. Hungry? Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, the base area at Crested Butte offers a variety of dining menus and atmospheres. I love the Woodstone Bar & Grill for breakfast, where you and your large party can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast buffet and great service from their staff. For lunch, Butte 66 is a great spot to take off your jacket, hat and gloves, and dig in to some of the best bbq in Colorado. I also really like the tacos, burritos and cerveza at Jefe's in Mountaineer Square. Looking for something a little finer? Have dinner at 9380- where a perfectly prepared meal, paired with one of your new, favorite wines will make your evening. We've got what you're looking for in the Butte.

That's all from me today, folks. Have a great day and I'll see you on the hill.
