Good morning locals and visitors. It's another snowy day here in the Butte. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. We have received three inches of new snow in the last 24 hours, giving us a nice blanket of that white stuff to smooth out our skiing and riding today. With 26" of new snow in just the last 7 days, skiers and riders are still getting face shots all over the mountain. You can choose from a total of 84 open trails, spread out across 798 acres of accessible terrain. If groomers are more your style, we've got 380 acres for you to ski and ride, including the Groomer's Choice today, Jokerville.

At 5 am, it is partly cloudy and lightly snowing. You can expect this pattern of snow showers to continue today, tomorrow and Friday, with the sky clearing on Saturday and then filling with snow again on Sunday. Don't you just love skiing and riding in early February? With 137 inches of snow so far in the 2009-2010 season, we are riding on a powder/packed powder base of 49 inches at the top and 40 inches at midway. There are 14 lifts up and running, quickly getting you to the top of the mountain so you can enjoy the long ride back down again.

It's a great time to visit Crested Butte if you're not already here. We've got lodging, lift ticket and airfare packages fit for every budget. Before February 12, your kids can fly, ski and stay for free at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Or, parents get a free lift ticket for dropping their kids off in ski school for a day. Adults flying on Delta from all over the country can get airfare for as low as $149 if they make reservations before mid-February and travel to Crested Butte by the end of March. We want you to fall in love in Crested Butte, just the way we did. So, call Crested Butte Vacations and book your reservation package today- that number is 1-800-810-7669.

While you're here, spend some time at the base area enjoying the Adventure Park with the kids- chock full of activities like ice skating, wall climbing and bungee jumping. If you're hungry, you'll find breakfast, lunch and dinner all conveniently located at our base area. I love the Woodstone Bar & Grill for breakfast, where you and your large party can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast buffet and great service from their staff. For lunch, Butte 66 is a great spot to take off your jacket, hat and gloves, and dig in to some of the best bbq in Colorado. Looking for something a little finer? Have dinner at 9380- where a perfectly prepared meal, paired with one of your new, favorite wines will make your evening. We've got what you're looking for in the Butte.

That's all from me today, folks. Have a great day and I'll see you on the hill.
