Good Morning skiers and riders! Today is Friday, January 29th and this is your official snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort! It is shaping up to be another beautiful day on the Hill! I love those Colorado bluebird skies, and that is exactly what the weather experts are predicting we will be enjoying today! So be sure and grab yourselves some sunscreen at the base area this morning, and lather up! Temperatures will also become increasingly warmer as the week progresses with highs expected to reach the thirties! We should begin to see clouds roll in again by Sunday, bringing us more snowfall and more powder to ski and ride. Today, you can hop on any one of 14 lifts that will transport you around the Mountain. With 876 acres of terrain open, you'll have plenty of runs to keep you entertained on the Hill, including 84 fun filled trails. Our hard working grooming team has buffed out 380 acres of corduroy and they have chosen International as their pick for best groomed run on the Mountain today. We've has a season total snowfall of 142 inches, giving us a fantastic 51 inch base. Skies are clear as the day breaks and the conditions on the Mountain will be powder and packed powder! There is always something fun going on here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and tonight is no exception! This evening, you can come up and party on REAL ICE at the Adventure Park at the base area! We are hosting an Ice Skating Disco Party! Grab your favorite polyester pants and head up to the ice skating rink from 6 to 9 pm and boogie the evening away! The cost for this event is $6 but free if you wear a costume! There will be plenty of drink specials going on at Butte 66 to get you in that dancing mood.
