Announcements
Good morning visitors and guests! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Tuesday, March 8, 2010. After just the first week of March, we find ourselves in very good conditions in the Butte. We have received 16 feet of snow so far this year, and the conditions have been fantastic over the last couple of weeks. We offer over 1100 acres of terrain to ski, ride and explore, including 70 groomed trails and the Groomer's Choice today, Crystal.

Today folks will be riding 15 lifts up to their choice of 111 trails made up of 100% of our beginner, intermediate and advanced trails, as well as 98% of our Extremes. If you're unsure about skiing in our infamous Extremes, it might be time for an Extremes with Ease lesson with our Ski & Ride School. Extremes with ease is our newest group lesson. Explore the famous extreme terrain of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Improve your skills while skiing everything from the Headwall to Phoenix Bowl with one of our professional instructors. This is a perfect opportunity for strong intermediate skiers to be inspired and challenged by Crested Butte's legendary terrain. So call 1-800-544-8448 or stop by Mountaineer Square or the Axtel Building to sign up for your lesson today!

Looks like the weather is staying around for a while, and we hope that means more snow. Snow showers are expected to move in and out of the Valley today and snow is expected through Thursday. And then, just like it was meant to be, the skies will clear and we should see yet another Colorado bluebird weekend. That means sunny skies for great spring skiing and riding!

I should mention that it could be a little on the windy side today, so stop by Thin Air Sports and pick up any extra gear you might need. They have great underclothes and outerwear, and an unbeatable selection of gloves, hats and facemasks. They also feature some locally-made jewelry that you might take an interest in as well. Thin Air Sports stocks some of the best brands in the industry, so stop by Mountaineer Square and take a look for yourself. It's right across from Jefe's, a new and popular taco and burrito joint on the mountain!

If you are lucky enough to live here, be sure you do a 360 today and thank your lucky stars. If you're visiting, be sure to spend lots of time outside soaking up the incredible landscape that you've chosen for your winter vacation. If you're aching to Crested Butte, don't wait any longer. Call Crested Butte Vacations today at 1-800-810-7669 and book your vacation now. They'll hook you up with a package that fits your dream vacation.

This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty signing off- I'll see you on the hill.
