It's Friday Folks, and it looks like it's going to be another beautiful day on the Hill! With 1100 acres of terrain open for you to ski or ride, you are guaranteed a good time on the Mountain! From heart pumping extreme terrain, to smooth, rolling, groomed trails, there is always something for everyone here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Hop on any one of 14 lifts that will take you wherever you need to go on the Mountain today! You'll have access to exciting trails all spread out across a powder packed, 51 inch base. I don't have to tell you how good our grooming team is, you can see for yourself by taking a run down International, our groomer's choice for today! With a season total snowfall of 198 inches, the skiing and riding couldn't be better. It is lightly snowing as the day breaks and you can expect temperatures to reach a comfortable 33 degrees. We are looking at another fantastic day here in Crested Butte, and a great start to the weekend!

Mark your calendars for this Saturday Folks, and get out your dancing shoes, because we are celebrating the first annual Ski Town Breakdown here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! The event will feature Colorado favorite Yonder Mountain String Band, and will take place on Warming House Hill at the base of the ski area! Warming up the stage for Yonder will be The Pete Kilpatrick Band, who we've had the pleasure of seeing before here in the Butte! General admission tickets are now on sale for only $35. Tickets can be purchased online at skicb.com, or by calling 800.810.7669

If you're a big time Yonder fan, you can also take advantage of VIP tickets, now available for $99 per ticket. VIP tickets are available for sale online and include an exclusive meet and greet with the band prior to the show. The deck at Butte 66 will then serve as your VIP sky box viewing area for the entirety of the show. Soak in the sun from above the crowds and enjoy private food and drink service including beer, wine and margaritas. To ensure ample space for dancing on the deck, there are only 50 of these spots available. Grab them now while you can.

Since 1998, hundreds of racers have been competing in the annual Elk Mountains Grand Traverse! Tonight at 12 am, racers will once again line up to compete in the extreme endurance race that links Crested Butte to Aspen. This incredible event is based on the tradition of mail routes which connected the Colorado mining towns of Crested Butte and Aspen in the 1880s. Skiers start out over a 40-mile course that takes them from the base of Mt. Crested Butte through remote wilderness terrain, across two mountain passes and finishes at Aspen Mountain. Skiers must start, compete and finish in teams of two. I'm sure you know a few people racing this year so be sure and show up to the start and cheer them on!

Hope to see you all at Soul Train Night at the Lobar tonight! Come help raise money for KBUT and see who will be crowned the new Queen of Soul!

Have a great weekend Folks and I'll see you on the slopes!
