Announcements
Good morning, my friends. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Sunday, March 28. The skiing and riding is fantabulous in Crested Butte right now, with powder and packed powder conditions on the 106 trails that are accessed by 13 chair lifts. We have 1100 acres open today, with 97% of our Beginner and Intermediate Terrain, 100% of our Advanced Terrain and 98% of our Extremes. I find a new favorite run every time I'm up on the hill, and for you today it might just
be the Groomer's Choice, Ruby Chief. There are 59 trails of Colorado's Best Corduroy, which is groomed to perfection by our expert grooming team.

The two inches of fresh snow we've received in the last 48 hours made the skiing and riding a little more smooth across the mountain. Today will be a superb bluebird day in the Butte, with clear skies and temps reaching the high 30's. Be sure to wear your sunblock and chapstick today, because between 9,000 and 12,000 the sun can be pretty strong. There's plenty of Vitamin D to be found in Crested Butte and this day of rest should be used getting every ounce of sunshine you can stand.

Things may be winding down now that we have just one week left in the 2009-2010 winter season, but the folks in the Butte are still rockin' it out. Yesterday, the base area full of lively people for the First Annual Ski Town Break Down featuring the Yonder Mountain String Band. And last night, the Eldo was packed for the Fishbone Show. March is otherworldly for the people who live here and we are more than happy to share this madness with the visitors in town. Thanks for such a great Saturday, everyone. I hope all you beautiful people had just as much fun as I did. Next up, Flauschink. Check the local papers to learn more about this time-honored tradition in Crested Butte and the upcoming events this week.

Now is the time to think about your next season's pass, believe it or not. Right now, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is offering deeply discounted season passes that will get you stoked for next season and save you a little cash. Visit the Adventure Center in Mountaineer Square before April 4 and save big bucks on your season pass. Prices are around $100 higher in June and over $400 more in the falll, so don't delay. You know you'll be back for more next year...why not save big before the peak of the purchasing season?

I'm going to go ahead and sign off now. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty- I'll see you on the hill.
