Good morning Crested Butte and welcome to another day of opportunity for all winter enthusiasts on Monday, March 10, 2014. With warm temperatures and a wall to wall open Crested Butte Mountain Resort there are 1167 acres open to all skill levels as 100% of beginner, intermediate, advanced, and extreme terrain is accessible by 14 lifts today on an 80 inch base, including Groomer's choice Prospector. All 120 open trails are covered in 21 feet of snow from this season making for some fantastic conditions all over the mountain including the 5 inches of fresh powder received in the last seven days! Now in its fifth year, Crested Butte Mountain Resort will host their annual spring concert Ski Town Break Down. Formally known as Festevol, this event brings in national talent at an affordable rate; engaging both locals and visiting guests to celebrate spring with live music and a festival village in the base area. There is a concert and lodging deal starting at $115 per person for a night of lodging, lift ticket and a concert ticket to boot! Participants learn the basics of driving snowcats, grooming, pushing snow, and experience one of the best ski resort jobs on a closed course.
