Announcements
Good morning Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Today is Wednesday March 31st, 2010, and it's going to be another beautiful day on the slopes. With 200 inches of snow the mountain has already received this season, the skiing and riding on the 53 inch base is absolutely wonderful! In addition to great snow conditions, temperatures are expected to reach the mid 40 range with a 50% chance of percipitation today. Snow is in the forecast starting tonight and lasting through Friday!

Take your pick on any of the 12 lifts that are open leading you to 1100 skiable acres, 350 of which have been groomed. 95% of the mountain is open, including 97% of beginner and intermediate terrain, 100% of advanced terrain and 98% of Crested Butte's infamous extreme terrain. From the best bumps in the business to some of the steepest steeps, Crested Butte has it all. If it's cruisers you're after, the hard working groomers have created Colorado's best corduroy on 65 of the 106 runs open and recommend Little Lizzie as their groomer's choice today. The options are endless on this last Wednesday of the 2009-2010 ski season!

Crested Butte Mountain Resort is pleased to wrap up another successful winter ski season with festivities and the traditional crowd pleasing Pond Skimming on Saturday, April 3rd. Registration for Pond Skimming is from 2:00 – 2:45pm at the base of the Red Lady Express Lift. Cost is $20 and gets you as many runs as you can hang for as the field gets increasingly narrowed. The Pond Skimming begins at 3:00pm in front of a team of judges and announcers looking first and foremost for competitors who clear the pond upright with bonus points given for style and costume. Slush Huck is fun for everyone, whether your are a contestant or just a spectator. So come on out on Saturday and watch people show how gutsy they can be!

It's not too late to come and inspire your passion for adventure here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort!
