Good Morning skiers and riders! Today is the first day of April and we are in the last week of our 2009 - 2010 Season! The conditions on the Mountain are looking good, so get out on the Hill and enjoy yourselves! Today you'll be skiing and riding 1100 acres of terrain all spread out across a powder packed, 53 inch base. Our hard working grooming team has buffed out a bunch of fun trails, so be sure and take a run down Twister, because it is our groomer's choice for today! We've had a great season, with 200 inches of snow falling on our slopes, and the skiing and riding has been incredible! The weather experts are predicting an 80% chance of snow today, and temperatures are expected to reach the low thirties. Today you'll have 12 lifts to transport you around the Mountain, so be sure and head on up while you still have a few days left in the season! Don't forget that the new 2010 - 2011 Season Passes are now on sale and we are starting the new season off with a Spring Pass Sale that is definitely something to consider! Time is running out, so be sure to lock in the lowest price when you purchase your Platinum or Gold 2010/2011 Season Pass online, through April 4th, 2010. Also new for 2010 - 2011, adult Gold Passholders get 2 half-price Buddy Tickets and adult Platinum Passholders get 4 half-price Buddy Tickets for use during the 2010 - 2011 ski season. We are also offering a Family Value Program that is second to none! Receive one free child or young adult pass with every adult full season pass purchased. The Family Package includes one Adult Platinum or Gold pass and one pass of the same type for that adult’s legal dependent child, age 17 and under. Platinum Passes provide unlimited skiing and riding with no blackout dates, and are valid for both the 2010 - 2011 winter season and the 2011 summer season. Be sure and take advantage of these early savings while they last! There are always fun activities happening here in Crested Butte and this Saturday, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is pleased to wrap up another successful winter ski season with festivities and the traditional crowd pleasing Pond Skimming! Registration for Pond Skimming is from 2:00 – 2:45pm at the base of the Red Lady Express Lift. Cost is $20 and gets you as many runs as you can hang for as the field gets increasingly narrowed. The Pond Skimming begins at 3:00pm in front of a team of judges and announcers looking first and foremost for competitors who clear the pond upright with bonus points given for style and costume.
