Good morning! It's always a relief to spend time on the slopes after Thanksgiving festivities, travel and time with family and friends. In the last 7 days, we have received over two feet of snow in the Butte, making our opening week a glorious taste of what we can expect for this winter season. Today skiers and riders will be soaking up the sun with partly cloudy skies and temps rising into the mid 30's. There is a 20% chance of snow today, so don't leave your goggles at home. With warmer temperatures and Colorado sunshine, you'll probably be out all day. Jefe's, Crested Butte Mountain Resort's featured burrito joint, will be open at 11 am, so stop by and create your own power lunch. You will also be glad to know that Paradise Warming House opens today. Stop by and grab a quick snack, a slice of pizza or some warm chilli in a bread bowl, my personal favorite. For apres ski, Butte 66 is the place to be, complete with a toasty fire to dry your gloves out and plenty of seating for you and your buds. Forecasters are calling for a 70% chance of snow for Sunday and a 40% chance of snow for Monday. We just received word that Paradise Lift will be opening at 9am on Monday, adding a few of your favorite trails to our list of skiable terrain and opening up incredible vistas of the Elk Mountain Range.
