You heard me right, it's a POWDER DAY in Crested Butte, with 8 inches of new snow in just the last 24 hours. This additonal snow brings this season's snow total to 107 inches. As a result of the new snow, we are able to open up oodles of terrain. For the weekend, we are reopening the Peachtree, Teocalli and the East River Lifts alongside the Red Lady Express, Silver Queen, Paradise and both Ski School Magic Carpets. We're sending a big "shout out" to our grooming crew for helping to open the following runs today: Lower International, Gus’ Way, Meander, Conundrum, Daisy, Black Eagle, Double Top Glades, Resurrection, Floresta, Lower Treasury and Lower Gallowich. There are a total of 62 trails to choose from, including the Groomer's Choice for today, Black Eagle. Be sure to take a run over to East River to check out Colorado's Best Corduroy on the East River side of the mountain. With new snow and a total of 437 acres open, it's shaping up to be a stellar weekend for locals and for visitors who know where the action is.
