Announcements
Buenas Dias snow friends. This is CBMR's Snow Betty on Thursday, January 6th in the New Year of 2011. Mother Nature has been hard at work, blessing Crested Butte with 191 inches of snowfall this season, with 7 of those inches falling in the last 7 days! The mountain is open for fun at all levels, with 1036 acres of terrain, accessed by 15 lifts, including 4 high speed quads getting to to where you need to go as fast as possible.

Our wonderfully hard-working Patrol team have been very busy opening a whole lot of terrain for those powder hungry locals and visitors! Since December 20th the Headwall, North Face, Teocalli Bowl, Horseshoe, Westwall, Tower 11 Chutes, Phoenix/Spellbound area and a few front side runs have opened. There is a ton of sweet trails to be skied, with 100% of the beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain open and 60% of the extreme terrain, enough for everyone of all levels. And for all those parents out there, CBMR has a great new deal for you! Bring the kids along and for every multi-day child lift ticket purchased, you get a free adult lift ticket! Pass the word along to your out-of-town friends and families because they will not only save on lift tickets but their children can travel for free on American Airlines. Call Crested Butte Vacations at 1-800-810-7669 to make reservations.

Don't forget to enjoy apres ski drinks and relaxation at the Trackers Bar and Lounge, located on the first floor of the Lodge at Mountaineer Square. Offerings include draft and bottled beer, high-end whiskeys, fine wines, martinis and margaritas, along with cozy couches, big-screen TV's and fireside seating, making Trackers a perfect place for a peaceful evening.

And for something a little more eventful, stop by Thin Air Sports at 4pm today for Chris Davenport's book signing and his movie, Showing of Australis in Mountaineer Square's Ballroom at 7pm. Both events are free with a brief introduction by Crested Butte's very own, Wendy Fisher. Call Laci at 970-349-2217 for more information.

Also going on tonight is Crested Butte Community School's student art opening at the Center for the Arts. Grades 3-5 and 9-12 will be displaying their artwork at the Center's Piper Gallery with an opening reception from 4-7pm. Stop by and enjoy unique artwork from our up and coming local artists.
