Announcements
Good morning snow bunnies and powder hounds. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. We are in the midst of winter here in the Butte, with January chilly temperatures and killer skiing and riding. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is now offering up 100% of its terrain, including all Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Extreme acreage. If you're a bean counter, that's a total of 1167 acres, 105 trails and oodles of powder for everyone. Get out there and enjoy the steep and deep, the bumps and Colorado's Best Corduroy, all in one convenient location. Groomer's Choice today is Treasury, so be sure to hop on the Paradise and East River Lifts and cruise down Treasury for starters this morning.

Crested Butte has been blessed with over 200 inches of snow so far this season, bringing our powder and packed powder base to 63 inches of skiing pleasure. In the last 48 hours, we have received 7 inches of snow and with these cold temperatures locking in, that snow is going to stay nice and fluffy. We are rocking 14 lifts, including 4 high-speed quads to get you up the mountain and plenty of places to refuel along the way. Drop by Jefe's for breakfast or lunch, and don't forget to try their Mexican hot chocolate with your burrito. Or swing into the newly renovated Butte 66 where pulled pork, fried pickles and a cold beverage will satisfy your appetite. Paradise Warming House is a great place for your large party to warm up during lunch- I suggest their slices of pizza and soup in a bread bowl. If you can't find what you're looking for, just ask our Guest Services associates for their recommendation. They can be found at the base area and all over the mountain and are easy to spot because of their yellow ski vests.

Here's a good reason to visit Crested Butte this winter…We call it "Ski Free with any Season Pass." All you have to do is have a ski pass from any other resort in the country, book your lodging reservations at the Elevation Hotel through Crested Butte Vacations and you'll ski for free! This deal makes it all worth it. To find out more, call the reservations team at Crested Butte Vacations; 1-800-810-7669.

That's all from me today, folks. Have a great day out there and I'll see you on the hill.
