Announcements
Good morning, good morning, good morning. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Today guests can ride the their choice of 13 lifts to quickly get access to 1167 acres of infamous terrain. You'll be skiing and riding a total of 105 trails, 71 of which have been groomed including today's Groomer's Choice, Ruby Chief. We have 100% of our beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain open, and a whopping 99% of our Extreme terrain open. Whether you're looking for easy groomers, challenging bumps, tree weaving or the steep and deep, we've got it!

Be sure to bundle up out there today, folks, because the high temperature for today is forecasted to be -1. It's a good time to purchase that new down jacket, you have been eyeing at Thin Air Sports in Mountaineer Square. And you ought to go ahead and purchase new ski socks and long underwear at White Room Apparel in Treasury Center too. Grab a face mask, some hand and toe warmers and you'll be all set for a day on the hill.

Looking for a place to gather your group for lunch but don't want to stray too far from the mountain? How about a pizza pie from SPELLBOUND PIZZA Company? Make your way to the third level of the Treasury Building and saddle up with your buds for a quick and relaxing lunch. (Don't worry there's an elevator for all of you who avoid stairs with your ski boots on!) Paradise Warming House is another great on-mountain lunch spot that can easily accomodate a large family or church group. Cafeteria-style dining makes it easy for everyone to get what they want and with a couple of registers and a great Warming House staff, your lunch in Paradise will get you back out on the hill in a jiffy.

Crested Butte Vacations, our reservations Powerhouse, has an unbeatable airfare, lodging and lift ticket package that you shouldn't pass up. If you're looking to complete your winter with a trip to the Butte, this is your chance. Now you can fly into the conveniently located Gunnison/Crested Butte airport, ski three days on the legendary slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort and stay four nights at the most popular lodging option in Crested Butte, The Grand Lodge, all for only $599 per person. Crested Butte Mountain Resort will give you the Butteness you've been looking for. That's all from me today, folks. Have a great day out there and I'll see you on the hill.
