Announcements
Good morning ski bunnies and powder hounds! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Friday, March 4, 2011. So far, March has proven to be exactly what we expect. Super sunny and spring-like days broken up by powder days. Thank you very much, Mother Nature. In the last 24 hours, we've received 4 inches of snow, and in just the last seven days, we've had 30 inches of snow. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is well over the 300 inch mark for this season, and the skiing and riding just keeps getting better. Cheers to yet another powder day in the Butte.

Today, we are featuring 1167 acres of terrain, accessed by 14 lifts and spread amongst 105 trails. 100% of our terrain is open and you'll be skiing and riding in powder and packed powder conditions on an 84 inch base. Everyone will be getting some powder stashes today, but our 450 acres of groomed terrain will be fun too- especially the Groomer's Choice, Bushwacker. You can expect more snow to fall throughout the day today and you can watch it all happen live at skicb.com/powcam.

Winter weekends are packed with cool events in Crested Butte, and this weekend is no exception. The Center for the Arts is hosting a fantastic event this Sunday, March 6 at 8 pm. Ellis Paul is a singer/songwriter hailing from Boston, Massachussetts. Between 1993 and 2004, he won an unprecedented 13 Boston Music Awards, and his songs were heard on hit TV shows Ed and MTV's Real World and in the soundtracks of "Me, Myself, & Irene," "Shallow Hal." It's always a good show at the Center for the Arts, so get your tickets today. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling the Center for the Arts at 349-7487 or visiting cbarts.org and clicking on "Tickets."

It's not too late to make your winter vacation reservations at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Receive a discount on your lodging and lift tickets when you book these items together online. Tack on lessons with our Ski and Ride School, equipment rentals or tickets to the Adventure Center and save even more! Don't take my word for it. Go to skicb.com and click on Specials to learn more about our unbeatable package deals. Or call our reservations specialists at 1.800.810.7669.

Well, even the Snow Betty doesn't have friends on powder days- see you on the hill!
