Announcements
Happy Sunday from Crested Butte Resort's Snow Betty on March 20th. I hope you have the day off to enjoy some of the 320 inches of snowfall that has landed on Mt. Crested Butte. We have 100% of the terrain open meaning no matter what level your at, you can have a blast! Thanks to our Ski Patrol, Groomers and Boot Packers for all their hard work making our mountain incredibly fun and safe!

Take a few runs and enjoy some of Colorado's "Best Corduroy". We have 420 acres of groomers for your pleasure as well as 105 trails open, thats 1167 acres of terrain waiting for all you riders and skiers to enjoy! Have a full day by taking a few laps on the Superpipe or jump into one of our many parks.

Over 100 free-heelers took to the slopes Thursday to begin competition in the 15th Annual Extreme Telemark Free-skiing Championship culminating with the legendary Al Johnson race today at noon! One of Crested Butte's most defining mountain races honors the hardiest postman ever to have lived. Al Johnson braved harsh winter climes and avalanches to deliver mail in remote mining camps around CB, skiing with bags that weighed up to 25lbs on skis that were 14 feet long! A true legend of our town has left us with a legendary race. Spectator or competitor, don't forget your fun costumes and enjoy another wacky day on the hill.

Matthew Shepard Gay Ski Week is in full effect! Events today include a Butte'11 Info Tent open from 9:30-3:30pm at the Elevation Hotel and Spa; an Aj Johnson After Party at the Elevation Hotel from 3:30-6pm, tickets are $25 or free with your Gay Card; and a Dinner Out at D'Jango's Restaurant. Check out the Crested Butte News for more events this week including Martini Monday at the Dogwood from 8pm- midnight, the Purple Party at the Mountaineer Square Ballroom on Thursday and much much more!

Need something fun to do after your time on the mountain this Sunday? Check out the Race Across the Sky screening at the Center for the Arts starting at 8pm. This incredible film highlights the 100-mile mountain bike race in Leadville that began 25 years ago called the Leadville Trail 100. The Race Across the Sky capitalizes on the inspirational stories of human triumph and endurance. Tickets are only $10 with a portion of every ticket benefiting the non-profit Gunnison Trails.

Happy Sunny Sunday!
