A happy Thursday morning skiers and riders of Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Today is the last Thursday of March, the 31st day to be exact, and you can expect conditions to be nothing short of spectacular. Almost three feet of snow have fallen in the past 7 days and a whopping 359 inches of snow have come down so far this season, creating for a powder packed 92 inch base. The best part is the snow is expected to continue falling throughout the rest of the day with temperatures reaching the lower 40's today. Take your pick on any of the 13 lifts that are open and running on this last Thursday of the 2010-2011 ski season, taking you to 105 diverse trails. Whether it's leg burning bumps, heart racing steeps, or fast cruisers, Crested Butte Mountain Resort has 1167 skiable acres of trails open, 470 of which have been groomed. 100% of the mountain's terrain is open and ready to be shredded, so what are you waiting for? Get on up here and experience some seriously amazing spring skiing. If you're getting down about the end of the ski season, the best thing to raise your spirits is to get ready for next year by purchasing your 2011-2012 season pass right now. Not only will you be psyched for next year, but you will be getting the lowest rates of the season, no matter what pass you're looking for! But remember, there's still a long weekend of epic skiing that lies ahead. Come on out to the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort this weekend for some incredible skiing and riding, as well as a few events that will help close out the season with a smile. The Bump 'n Jump is back! That's right, this Saturday, show your sick skills on soft bumps and two hand built kickers. Skiers, riders and freeheelers are all welcome to register! Registration is from 9:00 am -10:00 am on the Butte 66 deck and the competition begins at 11:00 am. The fun doesn't end there, as the infamous pond skimming event will directly follow the Bump 'N Jump. There's only a few days left to experience the best ski resort in North America!
