Happy Monday from your Snow Betty on December 12th. Thanks to the fastest snow guns in the west, we now have 46 trails open with 24 of them groomed with Colorado's greatest corduroy. There is 50% of our beginner and intermediate terrain open with 51% of our advanced terrain open and 20 inches of snow piled up on our mountain this season. With a high of 33*F there is finally some snow forecasted in our near future, with 20% chance of precipitation today and increasing percentages throughout the week. Our expert mountain crew has opened 5 lifts today including Paradise, Silver Queen, Red Lady Lift and our Magic Carpets.
The Rock on Ice team returns to Mt Crested Butte for an ice carving festival in celebration of the holiday season. The event will feature daily ice carving demonstrations, including interactive sculptures perfect for family photos, and a dazzling ice sculpture garden in the outdoor courtyard at Mountaineer Square.
