There is a great event going on this evening that benefits Max Mancini's non-profit organization, Life Turns. Come to Mountaineer Square tonight and watch the infamous Warren Miller's latest film, "Like There’s No Tomorrow.” The showing is in the Mountaineer Square Ballroom in Mt. Crested Butte. Tickets are $10 at the door and a silent auction will benefit Life Turns, an organization that inspires children living with medical challenges to transform their lives by immersing them in positive experiences in the outdoors. Through free week long camps, children are given the opportunity to build friendships and participate in outdoor activities in a safe, playful and nurturing environment. Get out for a great cause and be entertained by Warren Miller. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm.

Good morning and hello snow! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Friday, December 30, 2011. Some clouds moved in yesterday and brought a trace of snow to the mountain, so there is currently a nice smooth coat on every acre of open terrain. Today, we have 12 of our 16 lifts running, to get you up and around 478 acres of accessible terrain. There are plenty of greens and blues open- 93 % to be exact. We also have 65% of our advanced terrain open. Skiers and riders will enjoy a total of 60 trails, especially our Groomer's Choice for today, Paradise Bowl. We are glad to announce that Bushwhacker and Paradise Access trails will be open again today. The Superpipe in Cascade Park is also now open. The weather is primed for more snow today and tomorrow, with 20% chance of precipitation both days, partly cloudy skies and a high of 39 in the forecast for today. Have you witnessed the Crested Butte Mountain Resort Adventure Park this winter? Well, now is the time to experience it! Your high country adventure gets more exhilarating with a 28-foot, 6-route rock climbing wall, turbo-charged, gravity defying bungee trampolines, an extensive mini golf course, and a slippery, lift-served tubing hill.
