Announcements
Good morning skiers and riders of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Today is Thursday, January 19th, 2012 and I'm happy to report that it is currently snowing on Crested Butte Mountain, which will add on to the 15 inches of snow that have already come down in the past 7 days. The best part is, snow is in the forecast through the weekend with temperatures reaching the lower 30's.

Nine lifts are up and spinning leading you to 65 trails, spread across 439 skiable acres. Thanks to the heedful groomers, 62 of those trails have been perfectly groomed, and Paradise Bowl has been dubbed as the groomer's choice for today. The options really are endless on this Thursday in January, as 69% of the mountain is open, including 80% of beginner and intermediate terrain, as well as 43% of advanced terrain. No matter where you decide to point your skis or board, the 36 inch powdery base will be skiing and riding perfectly.

The 2012 National Safety Week continues today. Visit the Safety Week Tent, located at the base of Red Lady Lift where all kinds of fun and informational demos will be going on all week long. Highlights for the week include: Avalanche Dog Demos, On Mountain Tours, a Health and Wellness Fair, Lift Safety Demos and more. Plus, enter in the raffle to win all sorts of great prizes! Know the responsibility code and be smart at the park. Enjoy the slopes and be safe all at the same time!

Crested Butte Mountain Resort is known for more than just its great skiing and riding. For example, did you know that every spring Crested Butte Mountain Resort has a concert festival? This year it's going better than ever, as it will be a two-day event with the headlining bands being Barenaked Ladies and Guster. But it gets even better as Big Head Todd and the Monsters just announced they will be added to line up of the 2012 FestEVOL! Bring your friends and family to Crested Butte on March 17th and 18th, for a weekend that simply cannot be missed. Tickets can now be purchased on our website, or visit www.skicb.com/festevol for more information.

What are you waiting for? Come on out to the greatest ski resort, where the deals are as phenomenal as the skiing! For example, right now through early March, when you book three nights of lodging and three days of lift tickets, you will receive your fourth night of lodging and fourth day of lifts for FREE! Trust me, once you're out here, you'll never want to leave! To book this deal or any other deal going on, call Crested Butte Vacations at 1.800.810.7669.

Happy Thursday, skiers and riders! Make it a good one!
