Announcements
Good morning skiers and riders of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Today is Tuesday, January 24th, 2012, and it's going to be another powderific day on the slopes! With 3 inches of snow that fell overnight, coupled together with the 7 inches that has dumped on the mountain in the past two days, the 42 inch DEEPendable base is skiing perfectly! The best part is snow is in the forecast for the rest of the day, which will add on to the two feet of snow the mountain has already received in the past week. On top of a snowy forecast, you can expect temperatures to reach a comfortable 30 degrees today. I'd say it's going to be a pretty stellar day on the slopes.

Nine lifts will be spinning at 9:00 am today, leading you to 82 phenomenal slopes spread across 581 fluffy acres. The heedful groomers continue to work throughout the night, perfecting Colorado's best corduroy on 60 of those trails, and they recommend Jokerville and Crystal as their groomer's choices for the day. For all you jibbers out there, test your guts on the only Superpipe in southwestern Colorado, located off the Gold Link Lift. From the smoothest cruisers to the powdery bumps to diverse jib parks located throughout the mountain, Crested Butte has 94% of their terrain open, including 100% of beginner and intermediate terrain as well as 99% of their advanced terrain, so there's really something out there to make everyone smile.

Are you looking for something to help you both on and off the slopes? Well why not try out Pilates for Skiers, presented by the Crested Butte Wellbeing Connection. Classes begin at 8:45 am in the Ore Bucket Building, located in downtown Crested Butte. For more information call (970) 596-1714.
