Good morning and welcome to the weekend. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Saturday, February 25, 2012. There's no better way to spend your Saturday then to take the free Mountain Express bus up to the mountain and make some turns on the most beautiful and unique terrain in Colorado. We're offering up a total of 97 trails that are spread out over 1085 acres of terrain. We've got 61 trails of Colorado's Best Corduroy, and we're featuring Upper Keystone as the Groomer's Choice for today. With 100% of our beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain open, as well as 60% of our extreme terrain, skiers and riders of all skill levels can find terrain to comfortably cruise and to challenge themselves. Today we are expecting snow showers throughout the day and the temperature to reach 36 degrees. Take a mid-morning or mid-afternoon break at the new Ten Peaks cafe at the top of the Painter Boy Lift. Get yourself a cup of Joe, a custom-made fresh sandwich, homemade soup or something from the full-service bar. The view from Ten Peaks is second to none and, and the food ain't bad either! If you're new to winter sports and interested in learning how to ski or snowboard, then the Learn to Ski for Free package is the package just for you!
