Good morning lovers of bluebird skies and phenomenal spring skiing conditions! Today is Thursday, March 15th, 2012 and Crested Butte Mountain Resort is the place to be, as the day is looking nothing short of spectacular with sunny skies and temperatures reaching the lower 50's today. In fact, this weather is expected to round out the work week, so don't forget your sunscreen and head up to the hill. Once you get up here, you'll have options galore as 98% of the mountain is open, including 100% of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain and 60% of the extremes. The 97 trails that are open, 70 of which have been groomed to perfection, can be accessed by the 15 lifts that will begin spinning at 9:00 am this morning. If you're looking for some advice as to where to shred, the groomer's recommend Lower Keystone as their groomer's choice for the day. Speaking of stellar days, there are a few more spectacular ones coming up this weekend, as Crested Butte Mountain Resort's FestEVOL is happening this Saturday and Sunday, March 17th and 18th, with headlining bands Barenaked Ladies on Saturday, while Guster and Big Head Todd and the Monsters will be performing on Sunday. Book your tickets online at www.skicb.com/festevol, today, because tickets will no longer be available online after midnight tonight for Saturday's events and midnight tomorrow, for Sunday's events.
