Super sunny skies above with amazing snow conditions below are just two of the many reasons to grab the gear and head for the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort today, Saturday, January 23, 2016! The last storm system to enter our area dropped over a foot of fresh powder on our mountain these past several days, allowing for all 94 fun filled trails available to be layered in a soft 46 inch base. 15 lifts are cranked up on this beautiful day to lead you to 884 thrilling acres of terrain, 320 of which have been shaped up nicely to Colorado’s Best Corduroy by our exceptionally skilled grooming staff who have sent word that Upper Keystone is the place to be for the smoothest groomed turns on the hill!

Enjoy Free live music during Après today from 3 p.m.- 6 p.m. at Butte 66 from Bill Dowell, Director of Ski Patrol at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Bill performs covers of your favorite classics and entertains Crested Butte at various venues regularly. Full Moon Festivities kick off this year, tonight with the Full Moon At Ten Peaks event. Take a self-guided skin or snowshoe tour to the top of Ten Peaks and warm up inside the Umbrella Bar while enjoying a delicious buffet dinner under the moonlight, including fondue, salad, soup or chili, dessert and one complimentary wine or beer.  Additional beverages will be available for purchase and  event tickets are for sale at the Adventure Center in advance for $30. Plus, if you need gear you can just stop by the Crested Butte Rental and Demo shop and get your snowshoes or uphill ski gear. Expect about a 45 minute trip up to the Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks.   Feel like you ski pretty well, but wish you could ski even better? Sign up for the weekly Adult Saturday Clinic, taught by our awesome ski instructors.  Join in for one day, or sign up for every Saturday. The current focus is on Terrain Skiing – Groomed, Bumps, Crud, and Powder. The goal for the middle weeks of the season is to focus on taking your stance as well as alignment foundation into a variety of the terrain you will find here at Crested Butte and start to adapt technical focuses towards specific terrain and snow selections.
