Welcome to Thanksgiving Day 2012 here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. This is DC reporting in with what you can expect out on the carve today, Thursday, November 22nd.
We've got 8 trails open with all the trimmings of a fine groom, that's 13% of our beginner and intermediate terrain covering 59 acres serviced by 4 lifts. Our snow depth stands at 18" and the sky's are blue and clear with an afternoon high pushing into the low 40's. The Groomer's Choice is Houston. Houston, we've got no problem.
After your fill on the snow sit down at the the WoodStone Grille in the Grand Lodge for a mountainous Thanksgiving Day Feast with Turkey and all the trimmings served from 4 p.m. until 8:30. Creamy Garlic Mashers and Sun Dried Cranberry and Walnut Stuffing are jumping out at me off the buffet listing.
