Rise and shine Crested Butte! Today is Saturday, December 10, 2016. We have received 3 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours, 10 inches in the last 48 hours and 16 inches in the last 7 days. We have 422 acres of total terrain open on 42 trails with 200 acres of groomed trails all accessible by one of our 7 open lifts! That’s right, Peachtree and Painter Boy Lifts are now open as well! This afternoon, help set the World record for the most skiing Santas. It doesn’t matter if you ski, snowboard or snowblade, all Santas are welcome! The Santa Ski and crawl is open to all ages and is free to participate. All you need is a Santa suit and either a season pass or a day pass. Discounted Santa lift tickets are available at Santa Headquarters in the middle level of the Treasury Center. Join some fabulous female CBMR Ski School Instructors and SheJumps today for Get the Girls Out Women’s Ski Day. This all-female group will meet at 10 AM at Coal Breaker Coffee to get booted up and break into groups. Meet back at Butte 66 at 1 PM, where each participant will be entered into a free giveaway with awesome prizes thanks to generous sponsors. Open to all levels and ages and females only, this is an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded women in a supportive snow sports environment. This evening, join us at Lodge at Mountaineer Square for the Christmas tree lighting. Hot Chocolate will be provided and s’mores can be roasted over fire pits. Santa will be there to hear what is on your wish list and to have photos taken with the kids. Don’t miss this eventful, snowy weekend at Crested Butte!
