It is a powder day here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Today is Tuesday, January 3, 2017 and we are just getting free refills with this storm track! We have received another 10 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours and it doesn’t show any sign of stopping. We have 95 open trails spread out over our 15 open lifts. North Face Lift is now open for the season and the conditions are oh so sweet! You’ve seen snowcats out on the slopes, leaving perfect tracks of corduroy down the mountain’s groomed runs. Now you can learn what it’s like to drive one through our one-of-a-kind Snowcat Driving Experience. Classes run twice daily at 10 am and 2 pm, Monday through Saturday during the ski season. On Sunday, January 8, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is hosting a food drive to support both the Crested Butte and Gunnison food banks. Guests who donate three non-perishable, non-expired canned food items or one pack of diapers will receive a $45 lift ticket. There is no better time to get to Crested Butte and ski some powder!
