If you are looking for a truly unique adventure, then you need to check out the Snowcat Driving Experience. This course allows the participants to learn the basics of driving snowcats, grooming, and pushing snow in a Prinoth 275 Snow Cat, as used in Crested Butte’s grooming operations. The school provides classroom time for safety and operational instruction as well as a complete walk around to discuss parts and functions of the machine. It is then time to get out on a closed course for some live drive time! Cost for the program is $199 and includes transportation from the Lodge at Mountaineer Square, classroom time, and an hour of live drive time. Be sure to bring the family along, as they will have prime seats for spectating at our on-site tent. All participants must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.
