Keep your eyes to the sky this Friday, February 8, 2013 at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, as we are on schedule to get another possible 12 inches of powder through the weekend! That will add to the quick 1 inch shot we saw over the last 48 hours. Powder Hound here fetching up even more stellar news with new snow in the forecast just as new terrain opens up! High Lift will open at noon TODAY! The beacon line will be in effect, with the first 50 people in the beacon line having first access to the terrain. Both Headwall and Teocalli Bowl will be opening. Headwall halfpipe is the recommended route to access the Headwall. The Peak, Rabbit Ears and Angle Gully will remain closed. Get your tush moving out the door to beat the line and take a few warm up runs down any one of the 85 trails currently open, 50 of them groomed up in our best corduroy. There are 718 acres now ready to be ripped up and 12 lifts spinning to get you there in style. 95% of our mountain is accessible with 100% of the beginner, intermediate, and advance landscape available and 31% of the extreme territory offered up. Our base is measuring in at 36 inches and our season total puts us at 106 inches, but look for both of these numbers to climb as the day continues! Be sure to carve some turns on International, as the Groomers are calling it choice today.
