The Alpineer is Crested Butte’s premier Outdoor Equipment store. Since 1969 the Alpineer has specialized in outdoor clothing and equipment for all backcountry activities, including telemarking, cross-country skiing and alpine touring. In the winter, we also carry showshoes, avalanche equipment and camping gear for sale or for rent. In the summer, we provide gear and expertise for mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, camping and climbing, and carry a large selection of rental equipment for each of those areas. The Alpineer is the area’s largest dealer for Patagonia, North Face, Black Diamond, Tua, Kazama, Diamondback, Bontrager, Schwinn, Osprey, Mountain Hardware and many others. The Alpineer is located next to the bank at the 4-Way Stop in Crested Butte.
