Announcements
Happy Wednesday skiers and riders of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. On this 11th day in December of 2013, you can expect superb conditions as Colorado’s infamous sun is expected to shine brightly with temperatures reaching the mid 20’s. With almost 7 feet of snow that has already fallen on the mountain this season, 17 inches of which have fallen in the last week, the 46 inch base is skiing and riding wonderfully! Six lifts are spinning today, leading you to 56 diverse and exciting trails, spread across over 400 skiable acres! Thanks to the diligent groomers, 34 trails have been groomed and Paradise Bowl has been recommended as the groomer’s choice for the day!

We all know alpine skiing always brings loads of fun and excitement, but have you ever tried Nordic skiing? Well if you’re anything like me, you may need help with the basics, especially the basics of waxing. Thankfully the helpful Crested Butte Nordic Team is here to help, where at 6:00 pm tonight, the coaches will be teaching the kick waxing basics at the CB Nordic Center.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort and Crested Butte Mountain Guides are partnering to create a vacation where exploring the backcountry, riding the resort, and returning ‘home’ to great accommodations come together. To get a taste of some of the 1.8 million acres of National Forest surrounding Crested Butte on skis or a snowboard, join Crested Butte Mountain Guides for a two-day intro to backcountry course. Then check out the infamous terrain at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. With all that skiing, a nice place to catch some zzz’s is important, which is why the resort has added in a lodging stay the Grand Lodge Crested Butte for four nights to round out this unique ski package to explore ‘Colorado’s Last Great Ski Town’. To check out this deal or any other incredible packages, visit skicb.com/deals.

There’s so much fun to be had here on the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort!
