It’s a POWDER DAY here on the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort on this Thursday, the 9th day in January of 2014 as 5 inches of fresh snow have fallen in the last 24 hours, making the 7 day total 11 inches! The mountain has already received 114 inches so far this season, but that number will only get bigger as more snow is in the forecast through the rest of the day and into tomorrow with temperatures staying in the mid 20’s. Today is a glorious take to take in the views from any of the 13 lifts spinning, leading you to 93 trails, 60 of which have been groomed, all lying on a soft 46 inch base. With over 890 powder packed skiable acres open, the options are endless, but one slope worth trying is Ruby Chief, which is the groomer’s choice of the day! As if skiing and riding the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain wasn’t action-packed enough, here’s something else to add a little pizzazz to your day.
