It’s shaping up to be another fantastic day on the slopes here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort on the very fine Friday, March 14, 2014! Snow is in the air, as we are forecasted to receive 3 inches of the fresh stuff from now through Saturday! That will add to the 21 feet of powder we’ve seen so far this season and give us some extra cushion on the 76 inch base currently blanketing 1,167 diverse acres of terrain now open. We offer 120 trails for your skiing or boarding pleasure, 65 of which have been smoothed out to the best corduroy in Colorado by our professional grooming staff, and have14 lifts that are oiled up and spinning to serve it all up with ease. Groomer’s word is that Treasury is holding the best corduroy turns on the mountain today! Enjoy a unique dining experience with a Ulye’s Sleighride Dinner! Today is the first day of the US Ski Mountaineering Championships! The Ski Mountaineering National Championship race brings athletes from across North America to compete in an uphill, guide ridge climb and downhill ski race. This race offers quite the spectacle with the mountaineers climbing the guide ridge up Mt. Crested Butte. This is one event not to be missed!
