Good morning Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Today is Monday, November 29th, 2010 and boy do I have some great news for you! Not only did the mountain receive 4 inches of fresh snow in the past 24 hours, but Paradise Lift and surrounding terrain, including Paradise Bowl, Upper Forest Queen, Lower Forest Queen, Fallaway, Upper Canaan, Lower Canaan, Upper Treasury, Upper Gallowich, Bear and Breakfast Trail, will be opening this morning, thanks to the hard working groomers, snow makers and ski patrol. It gets even better as the snow is expected to continue falling throughout the rest of the day, adding on to the 92 inches that Mother Nature has already gifted us with. Temperatures will reach a comfortable 20 degrees today and tomorrow. But don't worry because there is a 50% chance for more snow on Wednesday. Three lifts will be open and spinning this last Monday in November, including Paradise Lift, Red Lady Express, and the Aspen Magic Carpet, leading you to 29 diverse trails spread across 217 acres, 180 of which have been groomed. Teocalli Lift, Peachtree Lift and the Pine Magic Carpet will all be closed through Friday, but will reopen for the weekend. Twenty-seven percent of beginner and intermediate terrain is open, lying on a powder packed 32 inch base. Keep your ears and eyes peeled as more exciting trails will be opening throughout the week!
