Special Announcements
Good morning all snow sports enthusiasts from Crested Butte Mountain Resort on this Friday, March 13, 2015. Get out and enjoy a terrific day on the slopes as we look forward to a change in the weather with some snow in the forecast today! With a couple of inches in the forecast to soften things up, there has never been a better time to grab the gear to explore the 98% of our magnificent mountain that is currently open with 100% of the beginner, intermediate, and advance terrain available as well as 56% of the extreme territory that is now ready to be shred. 14 lifts are spinning their wheels to serve up 94 super fun trails, of which 54 have been smoothed out to the best corduroy you’ll find in Colorado, and all of which are blanketed in a 52 inch base. If the best groomed turns on the hill are what you seek, look no further than Roller Coaster, our groomer’s top pick run of the day!

Announcements
Today is the start of the Ski Mountaineering National Championship race sponsored by GOR-TEX. This race brings exceptional athletes from across North America to compete in an uphill, guide ridge climb and downhill ski race. This race offers quite the spectacle with the mountaineers climbing the Guide Ridge up to the peak of Mt. Crested Butte.

Enjoy Free live music during après ski from 3 p.m.- 6 p.m. at Butte 66 from Chuck Grossman, whose genres include blues, bluegrass, funk, folk, rock, swing, jazz and classical; adding his own flavor for some great entertainment.

Looking for a cozy place to enjoy Après-ski? Stop by Trackers in Mountaineer Square to enjoy fireside couches, an outdoor patio, and a more intimate bar setting. Kids can play by the fire, while adults enjoy a beverage and maybe even a “das boot”.

Grab your dancing shoes and flat light lens as you head out to enjoy another amazing day on the slopes!
