Announcements
Good morning Crested Butte! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. With over 3 feet of snow in just the past 9 days, the skiing and riding is just what the doctor ordered. There's a 1" coat of powder that fell in the last 24 hours, making all 82 open trails smooth like butter. 100% of our Beginner and Intermediate Terrain is open, as well as 99% of our Advanced Terrain. There are 10 lifts up and running, including 4 high-speed quads that make it easy for you to maximize your laps on the hill. Groomers tell me that the Superpipe is open and cut this morning, and that the powder/packed powder conditions will make for a memorable day of skiing and riding on their Groomer's Choice for today, International.

If you like the speed and adventure on the super fast International Trail, it's high time you try out the Crested Butte Zip Line. You've probably seen the wicked cool suspended wood bridges and towering platforms connected by hundreds of feet of zip lines. The zip line tour takes about 2 hours and only costs $59 for high-flying, unforgettable thrills. Call 970-349-2211 or just stop by the Adventure Center in Mountaineer Square to learn more or to book your next Crested Butte adventure.

Time is running out on a vacation package you can't beat. Fly into the Gunnison/Crested Butte Airport and enjoy a beautiful 30 minute drive into the high country that we call home. Check into the Grand Lodge, which has been recently renovated, is pet-friendly and close to the free Mountain Express bus that runs between the mountain and town all day long. Then spend three days skiing and riding the pristine slopes of Crested Butte…the last great Colorado ski town. For $599 per person, you can Fly, Ski & Stay in the Butte, but only if you book your reservation by January 31, which is right around the corner. Call Crested Butte Vacations today at 1-800-810-7669.

Now, go get some Butte. I'll see you on the hill.
