Good morning and welcome to another epic powder day at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Friday, January 27, 2011. In the last 24 hours, we have gotten 8 inches of new snow, bringing our storm total to a whopping 49” of snow in just the last 11 days. That's a whole lot of snow on 626 acres, where you'll be making powder turns on your choice 84 trails. We have 11 lifts up and running, our "deependable" base is now at 45" and we are 98% open. The PowCam tells me that it is still snowing out there, and forecasters report that more is expected all day long. So, do you want to ski like a local in all this powder? I have one piece of advice for both novice and experienced skiers and snowboarders…take a lesson with one of our expert instructors at the Crested Butte Ski & Ride School.
